An investigation is underway after a teen was struck and killed by a suv Monday evening.
The incident occurred on westbound 175 service road and Beltline Rd, around 7:30 p.m. Deputies arrived to the scene and learned that a teen had been struck while walking along the shoulder of the roadway.
It was stated that the driver of a Cadillac suv was traveling westbound when traffic began stopping. He then struck the teen and immediately pulled over to render aid.
The teen was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the suv remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers.
This is an ongoing investigation.
