A 19 year old man is in jail after he allegedly shot and killed his father in front of Memphis police.
On January 7, 19 year old Ramarin Baker Jr. reportedly shot his father Ramarin Baker during a fight the two were having.
When officers arrived to the residence on Ridgemont Avenue they found Baker Jr., on the ground with his father holding a gun.
Police ordered Baker Jr., to drop his weapon but instead he fired three shots at his father striking him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Baker Jr then laid on the ground next to his dad with the gun to his head threatening to kill himself since he killed his father.
Officers were eventually able to convince Baker Jr to put down his weapon so they could arrest him.
He was charged with second degree murder and possession of a prohibited weapon. His bond is set at $100,000.
