Four people were arrested and charged for allegedly kidnapping a woman and putting her in a dog cage over the weekend.

Damon Andrew Tromp, 19, Kevin Rudolph Holmes, 21, Monica Latresis Reed, 37, and Cortez Marenzo Bernard Jackson, 39 were arrested on Saturday following a short standoff.

According to reports, a woman in her 40s was taken and held captive by the perpetrators. Her mouth, hands, and feet were duct taped and she was put in a dog cage inside a shed that was behind a house in Pine Hills.

The woman managed to escape and ran to the neighbor’s house for help. Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene at around 2 p.m. Saturday and found the distressed woman with minor injuries.

Later that same day, four suspects were identified and arrested. They face charges of armed kidnapping and false imprisonment with a weapon.

According to the arrest affidavit, the woman was kidnapped and held hostage as the suspects attempted to get information about a potentially stolen item.
