4-Year-Old Dallas Girl Dead After Being Attacked By Dog

4.9kviews

On Saturday, a 4-year-old girl, in southern Dallas, was attacked by a dog and died.

Close to 8 a.m., in the 5600 block of Bluffman Drive, authorities responded to the attack, by the crossing of Bonnie View Road and Simpson Stuart Rd.

Officials say that the dog had bitten the child several times. The girl was taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.

Neighbor Michael Pennington stated that he called 911 to report the attack. He thinks that 3 dogs, a toddler, and no adults were in the residence when the child was mauled by more than one of the dogs. Pennington says he is having a hard time dealing with what he witnessed.

The dog has now been placed in the custody of Dallas Animal Services, authorities say. Information on the breed of the dog or how the attack took place hasn’t been released.

An investigation is continuing.

  1. Wish, that I could get help with my family, my entire family been through so much we are displaced and have no permanent place to live no leads or help to find a home to live in. We are a rather large family. I have 6 children 1 is married and lives with her husband and the others are with me, ages 24, 18, 8,6,3 and my grandchildren 6, and 2 months old. We need 4 or 5 bed room, it is hard to find that big a home but it is even harder time when your looking for someone that take section 8 in a decent area an decent school district. I lost home to lead paint my children was affected by it. I just want a home for my family to have to somewhere to call home. I been in and out of shelters, hotels, I’m currently staying with my family and they are only giving me 3 weeks to get out. So i have no idea where my family will go.
