6 year Old Dies After Being Struck By Pickup Truck While Waiting On School Bus

A 6 year old North Carolina girl was struck by a pickup truck while waiting for the school bus with her grandmother early Friday morning.
According to reports Jernia Horne,6 was holding her grandmother Beatrice Mayson’s hand on Us 521 when Jernia stepped into the street and was struck by a pickup truck.
She was transported to Levine Children’s Hospital in critical condition where she died later that night.
The 39 year old driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and no charges have been filed at this time.
Her is attended Heath Springs Elementary.
