Nine men have been convicted in charges related to the sex trafficking of a 17-year-old missing girl.
In 2020, the U.S. Marshals Service and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children located a missing Missouri teenager at a motel room in Georgia.
The 17-year-old, who was labeled as a runaway, had been kept at the Travelodge in College Park where she was sold for sex.
With the girl’s assistance, officials were able to identify the man who was selling her as 31-year-old Steven Stone.
Stone pleaded guilty to three counts of trafficking and was sentenced to 25 years on June 8.
Eight others were identified as buyers who purchased the missing teenager for sex from Stone.
Shane Bean, 39, Tony Turner, 27, Kerry Barnett, 27, Warren Watts, 31, Mintaka Bey, 39, Undra Henderson, 30, Alif Morgan, 40, and Daniel Callaway, 41, all pleaded guilty to one count of Pandering of a Person Under the Age of 18.
They were each sentenced to 10 years.

Condolences for your daughter. I agree, these men deserve stricter punishment. The other thing that I saw in this article, she was from Missouri. This sick man had help because I’m sure he didn’t drive all the way to Missouri and capture this young lady. The other thing is not only the mental damage for someone taking her body again and again, she didn’t even know if she would make it back home. I’m praying for more people to get caught in this sex trafficking sickness.
It is very sad that the men who paid to rape her only got 10 years. They all deserve life because they took her life. She’s going to PTSD for the rest of her life while they are gonna get 3 meals a day and a bed to sleep on rent free. Even if she had ran away from home she deserved a manhunt to bring her home safely. Our justice system keep letting us down. She was kidnapped in 2017 so was she 17 then or 10? I am glad she was found. God is good

25 yrs for taking a minor across several state lines and trafficking her for 10yrs?! This is ridiculous and misogynist, the men making up the punishments for crimes against children and women just don’t get it or don’t care. We are more vulnerable to crimes than men and there should be extra just for that, when you add sexual crimes it should double on top of that for no less than 40 yrs without the possibility of parole! Certain types of offenders will always reoffend, so maybe the only sentence is life without parole— but the case has to be solid and cannot be plead out. I am also sick of law enforcement locking up innocent persons— it keeps no one safe, is usually racist and/or motivated by needing a fall guy, hate, incompetence, lack of caring, burnt out and/ or combo of all of the fore-mentioned.
