Abandoned 12-Year-Old Gets Assistance At Gas Station After Father Kills Mother

A man has been arrested after a woman was killed, and her daughter, 12, was left on the side of the road.

Authorities in Upland, California, stated that a 12-year-old girl told them Friday that her dad had beat her mom prior to driving away from the scene.

She then contacted 911, around 11:45 p.m., after walking to a gas station in the nearby location, Mountain Pass.

Then, at about 1:30 a.m., the next morning, a vehicle belonging to the suspect, Jesus Jaimes-Rosas, was located on a dirt road. He was found in the vicinity and transported to a medical facility after experiencing self-inflicted injuries.

Jaimes-Rosas was freed but was later apprehended after police found the body of the victim, Sonia Flores, 31.

It isn’t known where Flores’s remains were found or how she died.

Jaimes-Rosas is in custody for murder, and his bail was denied.

An investigation is continuing.
