A 70 year old Asian woman was robbed and beaten outside her San Francisco apartment last month by an 18 year old and three juveniles. Authorities have arrested two of the four suspects.
The incident occurred on July 31 when authorities say the suspects approached the woman in Chinatown outside her apartment. They then began trying to talk to the woman but due to the language barrier she did not understand.
The victim then walked into the lobby of her apartment building where the suspects followed her inside and began beating her. After beating the woman they then robbed her before police could arrive.
Surveillance footage in the lobby caught the whole attack.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non life threatening injuries.
The 18 year old suspect was later identified as Darryl Moore and the other three suspects are ages 11,13 and 14 but their names will not be released due to their age.
Moore along with the 13 and 14 year old face robbery, elder abuse, false imprisonment, and conspiracy charges. The 11 year old will not be charged in this case due to this age.
Moore was booked into Santa Clara County Jail and the 13 year old was booked into Santa Clara Juvenile Hall and was being transferred to the custody of Alameda County.
The 11-year-old was transferred from Santa Clara to the custody of the Alameda County Assessment Center. The 14-year-old has not been located but has an active warrant for his arrest.
