Civilian Shot in Officer Training Exercise

A civilian was shot during an Auxiliary Police Program training session.

In Taylor, Michigan, a civilian was role-playing in a training scenario. While going through a training exercise, an auxiliary officer accidentally fired a shot, puncturing the civilian in the abdomen. The civilian is in stable condition at the hospital.

Michigan State Police officers are investigating the incident. State police are looking into how the gun was accidentally fired.
