Jervonte Anderson, 20, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery. Furthermore, he is charged with possession of marijuana over 4 ounces but less than five pounds, in a drug-free zone.
Initially, Corsicana Police Department SWAT officers used an explosive breaching procedure. This was needed to apprehend him on a high risk search and arrest warrant on Wednesday.
His bond is $100,000 for aggravated robbery and $25,000 for the marijuana possession.
The arrest follows an aggravated assault that occurred on June 27 at 11:50pm. A man was shot in the back after running from an apartment after an disturbance with Anderson. The victim is still in a medical facility.
More arrest are pending.
