Police are wanting to speak with Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph in relation to a shooting death in the lower Greenville area of Dallas.

Cameron Ray, 20, was fatally shot after an altercation with a group of people that appear to include Joseph.

Sources have confirmed that Joseph was involved in an altercation outside of OT Tavern in Old East Dallas the same night that Ray was shot, however, he is not suspected to be the shooter.

In surveillance video footage, one of the individuals in the altercation was wearing a YKDV necklace. Joseph goes by the rap name “YKDV Bossman Fat.”

Ray is seen waking with friends back to their vehicle after the altercation when shots start flying from an SUV. Ray was fatally struck by the gunfire and pronounced deceased.

Sources say Joseph’s teammates are encouraging him to speak with police. They hope he will discuss what he knows about the incident.

Kelvin Joseph is a second-round pick of the Cowboys last year. He started his college career at LSU before playing one season at Kentucky. He appeared in 10 games and made two starts as a rookie.
