32-year-old Christopher Polk, of Dallas, has been charged with murder in connection to a killing in Garland.
Polk is said to have fatally shot 31-year-old Marquicha Mingo. On April 6, Mingo was found with gunshot injuries at an apartment on Duck Creek Drive.
Detectives say that a fight involving several people started in Dallas. It later led to Garland and resulted in the fatal shooting of Mingo. Another person was injured, as well.
Last week, authorities stated that two weapons had been fired.
On April 12, Polk was apprehended and placed in the Dallas County Jail. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
