The Dallas Police Department is searching for the driver of an SUV who fled the scene of a crash after fatally striking a woman in her car Wednesday morning.
According to police, a man driving a Chevy Tahoe lost control and hit a traffic pole near Jim Miller and Bruton Road in Pleasant Grove. His vehicle tumbled over and over and eventually rolled over a woman’s Toyota and clipped another vehicle that were both waiting at the red light.
The man then ditched his Tahoe and got into someone else’s car and fled the scene.
The woman, who was in her 30’s, was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The occupants of the car that was clipped were not seriously injured.
