Early Morning Shooting In Dallas Leaves A Woman Dead And A 5 Month Old Injured

Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a young woman dead and an infant injured.

On May 27, shortly after 4 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call on the 500 block of S. Carroll Avenue. Upon arriving they found the victim, 23 year old Tacara Nashay Reese-Windom, inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital where she died from her injuries.

It was also stated that a 5 month old infant was inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting. The infant was transported to a local hospital with conditions unknown.

No arrest have been made at this time and police have no suspect description. Authorities believe the victim may have known her shooter.
