Eight people have been apprehended for human trafficking after a 15-year-old girl, from North Texas, went missing. She was found over the weekend and was safe.

Police say that on April 8, the girl went missing at a Dallas Mavericks game after she went to the restroom by herself. She was then transported across state lines to Oklahoma.

They added that the teen, from North Richland Hills, was taken for commercial sex reasons by two men. An online ad resulted in authorities finding the teen at a hotel in Oklahoma City.

Kenneth Nelson, Karen Gonzalez, and Sarah Hayes, have been charged with human trafficking and the distribution of child pornography.

The other five people are facing various charges. These include outstanding warrants, rape, and prostitution. The five are Saniya Alexander, Melissa Wheeler, Chevaun Gibsion, Thalia Gibson, and Steven Hill.

Court documents show that Nelson obtained the hotel room using a fake name. Gonzalez is said to have taken pictures of the teen, for sale, as Hayes was in the room.

Texas is said to have 79,000 youth that have survived human trafficking. The youngest of the victims are from Dallas.
