Ex-Councilman Dwaine Caraway’s Sentence Is Shortened

Former Dallas City Councilman’s, Dwaine Caraway, sentence has been lessened by five months.

Additionally, a judge reduced his punishment after Caraway assisted prosecutors by testifying against Ruel Hamilton. This was a developer convicted of bribery.

Initially, Caraway was handed down his sentence in 2019 after pleading guilty to accepting $450,000 in bribes over an extended amount of time.
