Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Wins Medals In Jiu-Jitsu Competition

Many people aren’t aware that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg competes in jiu-jitsu. This is a Japanese form of martial arts.

On Saturday, Zuckerberg posted to Facebook that he had won several medals at a jiu-jitsu tournament in California. He accompanied this with silver and gold medal emojis as seen in the caption.

This was Zuckerberg’s first tournament where he competed for the Guerilla Jiu-Jitsu team. This is a gym that has several facilities in San Jose and Pleasanton.

Alexander Volkanovski, a star UFC fighter, praised the Facebook founder  via Instagram for winning his medals.

“When the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world gives you shorts, you wear them!” Zuckerberg responded back.

Zuckerberg noted that he became more involved in the sport during the COVID-19 pandemic. Images of him during the competitions can viewed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts.
