Grand Prairie Teacher Arrested For Having An Improper Relationship With Student

A Grand Prairie teacher/ coach has been arrested after allegedly having an improper relationship with a student.

According to reports, on December 4 an investigation into 28 year old Kenrick Burns began. Apparently, Grand Prairie police were notified about Burns engaging in an improper relationship with an 18 year old female student.

Investigators found evidence that led them to Burns arrest at a Grand Prairie ISD high school.

Burns was initially placed on administrative leave with pay but has since resigned.

He is currently being charged with improper relationship between an educator and a student.

No further details have been released at this time regarding this case.

The district has reported this case to the Texas Education Agency.
