Jordan Dow, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder. This come after his 61-year-old grandmother, Lela Dow, was discovered fatally shot in her Michigan residence this week.

On Wednesday morning, authorities were called to the home, where the pair resided, after a colleague stated that Lela hadn’t shown up to work.

After discovering the woman deceased, police learned that Jordan was the last person to see Lela Dow alive.

Authorities say that Jordan has been cooperative, and no evidence has shown that the two had a bad relationship.

He has been charged with felony firearm possession, in addition to the murder charge.

Jordan Dow is also being detained on a tether violation connected to a different criminal case. He was charged with criminal sexual conduct involving a minor in that matter.
