A Grubhub driver was shot during an attempted robbery Sunday night in Deep Ellum.
The incident happened on the 3300 block of Elm Street around 10pm when Amy Weaver,49 called and told police that some men tried to rob her after dropping off a delivery.
She said two men with a gun approached her while she was walking back to her car and demanded her phone and in the process someone pulled out a gun and shot her in the leg.
The suspects fled the scene before police arrived and the victim was treated for non life threatening injuries.
This investigation is ongoing.
