Byron Allen’s free sports streaming service struck a deal with CBS that will provide HBCU college football on cable in 12 major cities.
Allen Media Group’s streaming service, HBCU Go, serves 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Recently, the media group also gained rights to air the NCAA Division 2 HBCU conference sporting events.
Now, CBS and it’s stations, will carry Byron Allen’s digital sports programming, allowing these services to be available in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Tampa, Detroit, Miami and Pittsburgh.
The licensing agreement with CBS stations will run through the 2022-2023 college football season.
