Heartland Resident Shot During Attempted Home Invasion; Suspects Remain At Large


An investigation is underway after a resident in Heartland, Texas was shot during a home invasion Sunday.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. when Crandall Police responded to a shooting call on the 4100 block of Dragonfly.

Upon arrival they located the victim and a witness. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the back and transported to a local hospital.

While investigating officers were told that two unidentified black males tried to force their way into the victims residence.

The resident was able to escape but was shot multiple times. The suspects fled the scene in a gray or silver suv with no plates.

This investigation remains ongoing.
