883views

Kaufman County is proposing a curfew for minors in unincorporated areas to try and protect our youth.
County leaders say that crime rate has gone up tremendously in the past few years.
The new proposed curfew would have minors in the house between midnight and 6am in the summer and 11pm to 6am during the school year.
They said there will be exceptions for emergencies, school or job related functions and being with your parent(s) in the proposal.
If minors are caught out past curfew they could face a fine between $100-$500.
Parents will be notified immediately and could also face a fine.
Kaufman County Commissioner’s will hold a public hearing July 20,2020.
