On Friday, the New Jersey Nets played against the Atlanta Hawks in a 113-105 win for the Nets.
During the game, Nets player Kevin Durant had an interaction with a fan that was caught on video and posted to social media.
“Stop crying,” the fan said during an in-bounds play.
Although is wasn’t very audible, apparently this upset Durant, and he replied, “Shut yo ass up, motherf*****,” as he proceeded down the court.
The NBA has called the language used, ” obscene.”
Some people believe that if a person makes inappropriate comments to a player, then an inappropriate comment back may be deserved. However, the NBA doesn’t want these type of issues to get out of control.
Therefore, Durant has been fined $25,000.
