Royse City high school had extra police security on the campus Friday after a student posted a threat to social media.
According to reports Royse City police said they received a tip that a 17 year old student had posted a threat.
In a news release authorities said “The threat was serious in nature and an investigation into the matter was immediately initiated.”
An arrest warrant was obtained and the student was arrested without incident.
