Lineman In Texas Dies After Attempting To Restore Power Outages

Scott Balentine, a lineman who had been attempting to restore power in an area in Rains County, Texas, following recent bad weather, has died.

Balentine, a lineman for Farmers Electric Cooperative, passed away on Tuesday. He is said to have worked for the company for ten years. However, because of the bad storm system that came through the region, Scott was electrocuted as he was trying to restore power to homes and businesses.

“This is a very sad time for everyone who knew Scott. He was not just a colleague but a friend…,” stated General Manager Mark Stubbs.

Scott is survived by his wife and 12-year-old daughter.
