Last week Shreveport PD arrested 18 year old Edward Moses for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl.
On March 15, officers responded to a call regarding a sexual assault with a child on the 2900 block of Glenwick Street.
Upon arrival they were asked to investigate Moses on allegations of sexual assault with a minor. While investigating they learned that Moses did in fact have a sexual relationship with a 14 year old.
Moses was arrested and charged with one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

This means that an 18-year-old and 15-year-old would be able to have consensual sex under Texas law without it being considered a child sex offense.
