Grapevine police arrested a man they say viciously killed a woman and left her near the spillway of Grapevine Lake.
35 year old Daniel Burch told authorities that he and the victim, Jennifer Holmes, had gotten into an argument while driving on July 5. He said he then pulled over on Fairway Drive where he shot her multiple times and disposed of her body.
On the afternoon of July 6, a passerby noticed a deceased woman’s body near the water and contacted police. The next day authorities were able to identify Holmes and had evidence leading them to Burch.
It was also discovered that Holmes and Burch were living together during the time of her death.
Burch was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held in Tarrant County jail on a $150,000 bond.
