Man Arrested After Video Of Him Beating An Elderly Man At A Detroit Nursing Home Went Viral

A man is facing assault and battery charges after a video surfaced of him repeatedly punching a 75 year old man at a nursing home in Detroit.
The incident happened on May 15 at the Westwood nursing home when the 20 year old suspect, whose name has not been released attacked the victim and began punching him repeatedly.
During the video you can hear the suspect yelling “Get the f*** off my bed” several times while punching the man.It is unclear at this time what started the attack at this time.
The 75-year-old patient was taken to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The suspect was arrested on May 21 after police received several calls about the video.
It was later determined that the suspect was not a long time resident and was recently admitted for rehabilitation and recovery on a temporary stay.
