Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Carrollton Teen And Setting Her Home On Fire

A 24 year old man has been arrested after setting fire to his ex girlfriends garage in Carrollton .

The incident occurred on July 4 when Alexsi Lopez- Hernandez set fire to the garage of a residence on the 3000 block of Ravine Trail. Although no one was injured, two of the vehicles inside the garage were heavily damaged along with part of a neighbors roof.

According to reports Lopez- Hernandez started the fire after an argument with his ex girlfriend on her birthday. After further investigation officers found evidence of Lopez- Hernandez sleeping with his ex when she was 16.

Lopez- Hernandez was arrested and charged worn arson and sexual assault of a child. He is in Carrollton City jail waiting to be transported to Denton County jail.

If convicted he could face up to 20 years in prison.
