A man is in custody after leading police on a chase and hiding in a Royse City Walmart. 
According to reports a man assaulted a Cumby police officer and then fled the scene in a vehicle heading west on 30.
The unidentified suspect then crashed the vehicle and fled on foot to a nearby walmart where he hid inside. 
After employees and customers were evacuated officers called for K-9 assistance and found the suspect hiding inside the store.
He was arrested and taken into custody without incident.
