On March 10, shortly before 1 a.m., Dallas police responded to a kidnapping/major accident call on the 1300 block of Murdock Road.
Upon arriving they found an unresponsive woman lying in the street. DFR responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
During the investigation officers learned that 26 year old Darion Thomas stole the vehicle while the woman was inside, lost control and crashed into a pole.
Thomas was transported to an area hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.
He was later booked into Dallas County Jail and charged with murder and theft of property. His bond is set at $1,005,000.00.
