On Tuesday night, at about 9 p.m., Fort Worth police officers responded to a burglar alarm call at a business in the 700 block of N. Beach Street.
Officers at the location found the suspect who fled on foot. As he was being pursued, the suspect shot a firearm several times at officers, and three officers fired back at the suspect.
The pursuit came to an end as the suspect fell in an embankment on Hwy 121 frontage road. Afterwards, he shot himself in the head, authorities say.
First responders provided medical assistance prior to transporting the suspect to a medical facility where he died from his self-inflicted wounds.
No officers were injured in the shootout.
I mean was he suicidal? Was he wanted and didn’t won’t to return to jail? My thoughts only, why commit suicide……..
