Man Shot And Killed By Dallas VA Hospital Officers

A man was shot and killed at the Dallas Veterans Affair Hospital by officers Wednesday evening.
According to reports Donald Ashcroft,51 went to the hospital for psychiatric issues and was armed with a knife.
When VA officers were made aware of the situation they tried to disarm the subject and were unable so they disarmed their firearm striking the subject.
Dallas officers responded to the 4500 block of S. Lancaster where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
This shooting is being investigated by DPD Special Investigation Unit.
