Missing Dallas Person Found Dead In Wooded Area Near A Rest Area Off I-20

A missing Dallas man was found deceased in a wooded area in Smith County Wednesday night.
According to reports a Texas DPS trooper spotted an unoccupied vehicle that belonged to a missing man from Dallas near a rest area off I-20.
The trooper then walked in to the wooded area and spotted a deceased body that was later identified as James Tate,56 missing from Dallas.
Smith County Sheriffs and crime scene arrived to the scene and the body was taken to Forensic Medical in Tyler for autopsy.
This investigation is ongoing.
