A woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a video of her baby smoking what appeared to be marijuana surfaced on social media.
The woman was identified as Brianna Ashanti Lofton,20, the child’s mother. On the video that was posted it appeared that she was holding a brown cigar to the baby’s lips as the baby inhaled and exhaled the smoke. 
The Raleigh police were notified by several Facebook users about the video and they were able to obtain a warrant for her arrest. Lofton was arrested and charged with two counts of felony child abuse, contributing to delinquency and possession of marijuana according to reports.
Raleigh police department made a public post on Facebook thanking all those who reached out to them and helped them arrest this woman. They also let everyone know that the baby was doing fine and has been placed with Wake County Child Protective Services and Lofton is being held at the Wake County Detention Center.
