Newborn Twins Birthed By a Surrogate Have DNA From Both of Their Fathers

1.5kviews

Bear and Elle are newborn twins. They were delivered by a surrogate from embryos each implanted with the DNA from one of their two fathers.

Their births are evidence of modern-day advancements in conception.

Robert Sleeper and Neal, a same-sex couple, were assisted by Medical City Mckinney with their birth plan and delivery. “Just to watch them become new parents it’s just so much fun,” said nurse Sarah Thetford. She also happens to be a childhood friend.

Bear and Elle are said to be the results of the progress that is being made. Some want to ensure that same-sex couples can experience parenthood. This would be one alternative to adoption for these couples.

“… we can be a face or source of support, any source of inspiration to anyone ..We are more than happy and truly blessed to do that,” stated Neal.
