Ohio Man Sentenced To Life In Prison After Fatally Stabbing Girlfriend When She Asked Him To Get Milk For Their Children
An Ohio man was sentenced to life in prison this week for the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend because she asked him to get their children some milk.
According to reports, back in November 2020 police were called to a residence regarding a stabbing.
Upon arrival officers found 25 year old Amber Smith deceased from multiple stab wounds. They also found two younger children ages 1 and 3 inside the residence unharmed.
While investigating officers learned that the suspect, 40 year old Eric Humpries became upset when his girlfriend, Smith, asked him to go to the store and grab some milk for the children.
He reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her multiple times before throwing the knife in the front yard.
Humphries was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault.
On October 24, he was sentenced to 17 years to life in prison.
