One Man Apprehended in Fatal Oak Cliff Shooting of 18 Year-Old

A man has been apprehended for the shooting of Michael Contreras Kelly, 18. Kelly was shot in West Oak Cliff and passed away from his wounds Monday night.

A witness has said that Kelly was traveling to meet two people. Documents reveal that he planned on selling a gun. That is when the shooting transpired. Nicholas Shykeem Levels, 21, allegedly grabbed the gun from Kelly while the other person shot him. Police say the two men then fled the scene in a vehicle.

Later, Levels arrived at the hospital. He also had gunshot wounds. He was subsequently taken to Dallas Police Headquarters. However,  he would not tell the name of the shooter.

He was booked into the Dallas County Jail. His bond is set at $500,000.
