4.9kviews

On Monday, an accident involving an 18-wheeler left parents of two children dead, in Royse City, Texas.

The incident occurred just prior to 8:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-30 at FM 35.

Reports indicate that the 18-wheeler was headed westbound when it went over into the eastbound lanes of I-30 and struck three vehicles. One of the vehicles caught ablaze, killing Christopher Talley, 35 and Shannon Crawford, 36, of Greenville. The couple had been married with two children.

No one else was hurt in the accident.

Detectives are now working to see if a steering axle on the 18-wheeler’s tire led to it breaking through a cable barrier, crossing a grassy median, then going into the eastbound lanes.

The 51-year-old female driver of the 18-wheeler is cooperating with officials as an investigation continues.
