On Tuesday June 21, 2022, the Dallas PD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit along with several other agency’s arrested a man for online solicitation of a minor under the age of 14.
The current mayor for Pilot Point Texas, Matthew McIlravy, 42, was arrested following a five month long investigation with the Dallas Police Department’s ICAC Unit.
With the help of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, Texas Department of Public Safety, Collin County District Attorney’s office, DPD Drone Unit, and North Central CRT they were able to learn about other communications with minors that have not been identified.
This investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
