According to Police, Sonja Star Harrison (14 years old), was shot and killed Monday around 6:30PM while visiting a friend in an apartment downstairs at the Pavilion Place complex in the 500 block of Cleveland Ave. Harrison was shot by a single bullet that went through the floor of an upstairs apartment and died at the scene.
There were several individuals in the apartment upstairs where the shot was fired from. The individuals were interviewed by the police, hoping to get the story of why the shot had been fired.
At the time no arrests have been made. Investigators said that it is possible it was an accident, but it will take time before they know for sure.
