Duncanville High School was placed on a brief lockdown Tuesday afternoon after reports of an active shooter inside the campus.
Officers responded to an active shooter at 900 W. Camp Wisdom Rd and when they arrived to the school they secured the campus grounds inside and out to make sure there was no active shooter.
After thorough investigation officers learned that a student or students were popping fireworks inside the building.
The school has been secured but authorities are still heavy on the premises and no injuries have been reported.
