An investigation is underway after an armed suspect was shot outside an East Dallas 7Eleven by security.
Around 11:50 p.m. officers responded to a call on the 2500 block of Lemmon Avenue involving a security officer.
Upon arrival they found a man in front of 7Eleven suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he underwent surgery but later died from his injuries.
Apparently while inside the unknown suspect was asked to leave the store by security. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot security.
Security immediately pulled out his weapon and discharged it striking the suspect.
This shooting investigation is still ongoing.
