After a confrontation with a suspected car burglar, a security guard was fatally shot on Friday, in Dallas.
The incident occurred at Preston Center, at or close to a parking garage, near Westchester and Luther Lane, at about 3:30 p.m.
The University Park Police noted that the security guard was transported to a medical facility whe he died from his wounds.
Authorities in Dallas say that the security guard approached a man who was thought to have been breaking into a car. They got into a physical altercation, and the suspect shot the victim.
An image of the offense from a bystander revealed a firearm on the ground and a damaged vehicle.
As of Friday night, authorities were still searching for the suspect.
