An investigation is underway after a woman was killed and four others, including children were injured in Sunnyvale, Texas.
On June 4, Sunnyvale police responded to a shooting call at Riverstone apartments on the 200 block of Planters Road. Upon arrival they found the victim, 27 year old Tyesha Merritt, along with an adult male and three children.
Merritt was pronounced dead. The adult male along with the three children were transported to an area hospital.
The male was released from the hospital and the three children remain hospitalized with their condition unknown.
The suspect(s) fled the scene in a black late model sedan with custom wheels. No further information has been released at this time.
This is an active investigation and will be updated as it evolves.
I thought Sunnyvale was a nice safe community. I guess not.
