Suspect Charged With Homicide, Rape After 76-Year-Old Woman Found Dead On Bike Trail

On Thursday, 59-year-old David Bosley was apprehended in relation to the death of 76-year-old Marcy Nellis, in Oil City, Pennsylvania.

The grandmother had been missing since March 26, and her body had been discovered on a bike trail the next day.

Immediately, Bosley became a person of interest. He has a criminal record, including a prior history of attempted rape.

Bosley has now been charged with homicide, rape by forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault, kidnapping, and abuse of a corpse.

Authorities don’t think that Bosley and Nellis knew each and believe that the killing was random.

After DNA testing was done, the findings linked Bosley to the crime. Additionally, an autopsy found that Nellis died by asphyxiation due to manual strangulation and that she had been raped.

Reports indicate that Nellis went walking every day and exercising was her greatest hobby.
