Suspected Shooter Turns Himself In After Injuring 9 And Killing 1, At Halloween Party

A shooting at a Halloween party Saturday night left one person dead and nine others injured in Texarkana.
Officers responded to a shooting call at Octavia’s Activity Center on the 2300 block of Texas Blvd.
According to reports there were a couple hundred people at the party during the time of the shooting.
The 10 people who were shot went to two hospitals for treatment, either by ambulance, police unit or private vehicle.
A man that was transported to the hospital was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital. His name has not been released.
The nine other injured victims were treated for non life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene but turned himself into police Sunday morning.
He was identified as Keuntae McElroy,21.
He was charged with aggravated assault and more charges are expected to be filed Monday.
