Teen Accidentally Shoots And Kills 11 Year Old Brother With Stolen Gun

An investigation is underway after an 11 year old boy was accidentally shot and killed by his older brother in St. Petersburg, Florida.

On April 24, around 12:15p.m., officers responded to a shooting call on the 1400 block of 43rd St.S. Upon arrival they located the victim, 11 year old Amir Williams, unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

Emergency crews arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

During the investigation officers learned that Williams was home with his 14 year old brother and 13 year old sister at the time of the shooting.

The 14 year old brother told authorities that he was playing with the gun when it accidentally discharged and struck his brother.

According to authorities the gun was reported missing from a vehicle on April 24.
Police are trying to determine how the 14 year old gained possession of it.

No charges have been filed at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
