Teen Fatally Shot In White Settlement By Man Who Claims Teen Tried To Break Into His Car

White Settlement police are investigating a shooting that left a 16 year old teen dead early Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 4:45am on the 7600 block of Colton Drive.
Upon arrival officers found a 16 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to the teens 15 year old brother, they were walking down the street when an unknown man pulled up beside them and accused them of trying to break into his vehicle.
The driver then pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds striking the 16 year old in the chest.
No arrest have been made at this time.
Authorities are gathering information and checking to see if anyone in the neighborhood has video surveillance.
This investigation remains ongoing.
